Dr. Rypma Lab
Dr. Rypma’s lab is a cognitive neuroscience lab studying the mental processes involved in using working memory and how those processes change during aging. This lab studies the relationship between brain and behavior in healthy individuals with functional brain-imaging (fMRI) and neuropsychometric experiments. The lab also studies brain function in individuals with neurological impairments in an effort to better determine how the impairments affect mental functions. The NeuroPsychometric Research lab consists of three state-of-the-art laboratories in the DFW area: the Center for BrainHealth, the University of Texas at Dallas (Richardson, TX), and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (Dallas, TX).
