Shikha Prashad, Ph.D.
Postdoctoral Research Scientist
Shikha is a postdoctoral research scientist in Dr. Filbey's lab where she explores the relationship between cortical and subcortical networks and role of dopamine in cognitive and motor processing in populations with dopamine dysregulation such as those with addictive or movement disorders (e.g., Parkinson's disease). Her research involves behavioral and neuroimaging techniques including electroencephalography (EEG) and functional MRI. Prior to joining Dr. Filbey's lab, Shikha earned her Ph.D. in Neuroscience and Cognitive Science from the University of Maryland, College Park and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Computer Science from Bryn Mawr College.
