Sven Vanneste, Ph.D.
Director of Neuromodulation
Dr. Sven Vanneste is an associate professor of neuroscience at the School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences at the University of Texas at Dallas. Born in Belgium, he received a Ph.D. in Medical Sciences. After receiving his degree, Sven moved to the United States where he currently runs the lab for clinical and integrative neurosciences at the Center for BrainHealth.
Dr. Vanneste’s research focuses on understanding the neural mechanisms underlying different neurological and psychiatric diseases such as tinnitus, fibromyalgia, Parkinson, depression, mild cognitive impairment, to develop novel invasive and non-invasive neuromodulation treatments.
Throughout his career, Sven has published more than 130 research articles in well-known scientific journals. He is the principal investigator for the pharmagroup associated with the Tinnitus Research Initiative and part of the management committee for the EU COST Action TINNET. In addition to his current work in the United States, he is an honorary research professor at the University of Otago in New Zealand and guest professor at the University of Antwerp in Belgium.
