The Center for BrainHealth at The University of Texas at Dallas and its partners at the Helen Wills Neuroscience Institute at The University of California, Berkeley, present the tenth annual Reprogramming the Brain to Health Symposium. 

The Symposium brings together the most distinguished brain scientists to share and learn up-to-the-minute breakthroughs in brain research.

The 2016 Symposium will explore computational and biophysical modeling approaches to examine the mechanisms of mental health issues.

The annual Symposium is designed to engage cognitive scientists, neuroscientists, physicians, psychologists, rehabilitation specialists, researchers, educators and students.

Abstract submissions will be accepted for poster presentations during the 2016 Symposium. $500 awards will be given to each of the top five student poster submissions.

The Keynote Address and The Charles L. Branch BrainHealth Award recipient for 2016 is Professor Karl Friston, FRS, FMedSci

Dr. Friston is a theoretical neuroscientist and authority on brain imaging. Among his many accomplishments, he invented statistical parametric mapping, voxel-based morphometry and dynamic causal modeling. These techniques are essential to modern human brain mapping and network-based analysis. He is Wellcome Trust Principal Research Fellow and Scientific Director of the Wellcome Trust Centre for Neuroimaging, Professor at the Institute of Neurology at University College London, and an Honorary Consultant to the United Kingdom's National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery.
